1/72 Armour Overview

The grand daddies of this scale are CDC Armour, Matchbox, Dragon and the latest being Forces of Valor. Most versions are a gebination of metal and plastic.

Dragon is the current leader in this segment offering a regular version, special version of the regular version, a limited edition version (Cyberhobby)which includes a numbered collectors card and finally convention version(Huber, WOH King Tiger) for 1/72 scale tanks . Both modern and ww2 armour is available for this line. The line is primarily german and russian for ww2 abd american for modern armour.

Forces of Valour followed up its highly successful 1/32 line, by entering the 1/72 market this year. The firm also makes toy soldiers for this 1/72 scale too.

Prices vary among the series, with CDC armour pieces easily topping $50usd each, while selected limited edition versions of dragon topping $150usd, and on the low end, both new matchbox collectibles and fov tanks retail in the $10-20 range.
