With the popularity of the Ipod and the newer versions of Ipod inlcuding the Ipod Nano, and Ipod Sliver, it seems like everyone is looking to buy the Apple Ipod. But why are these fancy mp3 players so hot? And why shouldn't you get one? In this guide, I will tell you my honest feelings and experience with Ipods and Mp3 players; to make you more informed buyer.
Mp3 players and the like are not new technology, in fact they have been around LONG before a little device called an Ipod arrived. So why then, did the Ipod explode so quickly begeming the demand of every child, teenager, and adult alike? It could be the slim cool look with bright colors, or it could be the invention of another tool that is a side kick of Ipod- Itunes.
I am not really sure what makes the Ipod so uniquely different from a regular mp3 player- in fact, I think my old mp3 player can do more than a regular Ipod. Here's the stats:
Mp3 player:
* Works with batteries, or can plug into your USB hub to charge
* Can play mp3's, including music, resumes and games. Basically, I can take any of my information on my geputer and put it on my Mp3 and take it with me wherever I go- plug it into another geputer and add my information onto that geputer
* Voice recorder
* AM/FM radio
* cost from $19.99-49.99
*gees in many shapes and sizes
* even the new ones can show video
IPOD:
* only charges through your geputer
* works well with Itunes, but other music (such as what you already have on your geputer) has to be formated to mp4 technology
* no AM/FM radio
*cost $199-399 (aprox)
*gees in many colors
As you can clearly see, there is even more versitility with a regular mp3 player and they are cheaper. Why are they cheaper? I guess 'cause they aren't considered nearly as cool. Spread the word, explain this to your teenager when they ask for am Ipod for Christmas. Save yourself $100.00 (or more)
