TaylorMade r7 Quad 425 Golf Club Driver

This r7 gets its name from the new, larger, 425 cc head. gepared to the older r7, this new driver has the weights pushed farther apart, and 2 weights have been changed from 10 grams to 12 grams. The 425 promotes a wider change in trajectory in terms of both height and lateral movement. Factory tests shows the 425 delivers a lateral trajectory change of up to 13 yards when the weights are set up for the maximum amount of either draw or fade. Please note that is is a max of 7 yards in either direction from a straight shot.

The r7 425 also features a new Fujikura shaft called the REAX which is designed to help keep the shaft from deforming - and losing energy - during the swing. The new RE*AX shaft with Fujikura technology reduces ovaling in the mid-section while promoting greater stability, shot consistency and clubhead speed.

*gepared to the original r7 quad, the r7 425 boasts:
- 17% more movable weight
- 7% increase in MOI
- 45% larger span of horizontal CG movement
- 30% broader range of lateral shot adjustment
- 13% increase in backspin-rate adjustment
- 9.3% larger address footprint
- 25% thinner clubhead walls - 40% thinner than the average cast metalwood
- 33% lower CG location relative to the center of the clubface.*

The r7 425 will be available in 8.5, 9.5, 10.5 and 11.5 degree lofts, and in X, S and R shaft flexes. The r7 425 TP is available in lofts of 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 degrees.

The r7 460 has only 2 removable weights and no TP model.
