This was in the attic with the quilts, had to share. Is this instrument a mandolin? I was told it came from Germany, WWI, and it has a maker's name but I can't quite make it out aside from "____lang". Many years later it was given to some kids in the 60s who carved all sorts of names on it (Beatles, Elvis, their own names, etc). Any thoughts on value, etc? Thanks.
