This belonged to my MILs Aunt Nellie (her namesake). She was a spinster and was the head of a girls school in India. She was born in the 1890s. What did they use these for ~ to hold their handkerchief onto their blouse or possibly a watch? How old do you think it is? It's about 7" long.
